Bert Cardozo was born on January 7, 1983, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to Martine Cardozo and Patrick Cardozo, telecommunications entrepreneurs.
Bert was the oldest of three siblings and grew up in a family that encouraged learning and creativity. His paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Turian Cardozo, was an educator author who took a particular interest in his exceptional learning ability. .
