In March 2025, Brijesh showed his compassionate side by rescuing a stray puppy from a drain in his village. During the rescue, the dog bit his right-hand finger. The wound seemed minor, so he ignored it and did not take an anti-rabies vaccine.

Symptoms worsened with hydrophobia, confusion, and agitation—classic signs of rabies. He was taken to hospitals in Bulandshahr, Noida, and Delhi, but reportedly denied proper treatment.
