His transition into cinema began with the Gujarati film Dariya Chhoru in 1999. He entered Hindi cinema as a director with Aankhen in 2002, a multi-starrer thriller featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sushmita Sen, Paresh Rawal, and Arjun Rampal.
